From the moment you start competing in sport - at any level - you'll realise just how vital it is to build up muscle to improve your overall health and wellbeing.  After all, muscles form the building-blocks of sporting excellence, regardless of the discipline, and exercising in the right way improves motor skills, fitness, muscle and bone strength, and joint function.  But let me make one thing clear. When I talk about "muscle", I don't necessarily mean enormous ones like Arnold Schwarzenegger had in his prime!

Whilst this may be something you aspire to, it can take YEARS, even decades, of focused effort to build up musculature to this elite level.  That said, there are plenty of simple and less time-consuming ways for men and women of all ages, motivations and fitness levels to sculpt a new look.
